Judge Cathy Stryker served as Judge of the 224th Civil District Court in Bexar County for 12 years.  As judge she presided over thousands of civil matters including family law, personal injury, breach of contract, and served as a Multi District Litigation Judge for oil and gas litigation in South Texas for 5 years.  Her work included jury trials, bench trials and extensive motion practice in all areas of civil practice. After leaving the bench in 2022, she began her practice as a private judge, mediator and arbitrator and has served in these roles in a wide variety of matters including personal injury, family law, breach of contract, construction, business dissolution, securities fraud and property disputes.  Prior to taking the bench Judge Stryker practiced law in the areas of personal injury, employment law, commercial litigation and insurance coverage.  She has been a licensed attorney for over 30 years. Judge Stryker served on the Supreme Court Advisory Committee from 2019-2022, is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has held numerous leadership positions during her career as both a judge and as an attorney.   Judge Stryker resides in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, where she raised her now adult children. Her hobbies include travel, running, and reading.
