Hon. Martin Chiuminatto

Judge Martin J. Chiuminatto, Jr. served as Judge of the Kleberg County Court at Law until retiring in 2010, hearing civil and criminal matters. Prior to his judgeship, he was an assistant city attorney in El Paso and City Attorney of Kingsville, and he maintained a private law practice in Kingsville. After retirement, Judge Chiuminatto has served as a visiting judge and arbitrator.

Judge Chiuminatto earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law and a B.S. from Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M–Kingsville). He is Board Certified in Family Law and has been a longtime member of the State Bar of Texas. He served on the Texas Judicial Council, as a Commissioner on the State Commission on Judicial Conduct, and was a faculty member for judicial education programs.

In his arbitration practice, Judge Chiuminatto serves on Judicial Workplace Arbitrations, Inc.’s and non-subscriber panels. His avocations include leatherworking and sailing.
