Former State District Judge Carl Ginsberg (FCIArb) presided over the 193rd Judicial District (Civil) Court in Dallas County, Texas for 12 years (2006-2018). During his tenure, Judge Ginsberg tried over 200 jury trials & several hundred bench trials, and heard thousands of motions, in cases spanning virtually every facet of civil litigation (inter alia, complex commercial litigation, construction, technology, breach of contract, professional malpractice, fraud, partnership dissolution, violations of fiduciary duties, breach of non-compete covenants, theft of trade secrets, employment-related disputes, workplace injuries, mass torts). Before taking the bench, Judge Ginsberg was an avid litigator, having tried dozens of jury trials to verdict, and has been Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (Personal Injury Trial Law) since 2003. While serving full-time on the bench, Judge Ginsberg earned a Master of Laws (LLM) (with Honors) from the University of London in International Dispute Resolution, focusing on international commercial arbitration. Judge Ginsberg is also a Fellow with the prestigious Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the UK based, leading certification body of arbitrators in the world, and is an Accredited Mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), the UK based, world-leading accrediting organization in the field of mediation. Judge Ginsberg is prepared to travel across Texas, and the globe, to serve on arbitration assignments.
