Senior District Judge John Delaney

Judge John Delaney is a 5th generation Texan. Born and raised in Houston, he has lived in Bryan since 1973. As a trial judge with over 30 years’ experience he has presided over about 570 jury trials and several thousand bench trials of all kinds. He has handled over 975 cases as a mediator and arbitrator. He continues to hold court weekly as a specially assigned trial judge and occasionally as a special master for discovery in complex cases.

Judge Delaney and his wife, Jeanne, are the parents of four adult children and have four grandchildren.
