Judge Richard Davis is a seasoned legal professional, having served as Criminal District Attorney, State District Judge with 20 years experience hearing general jurisdiction matters (handling all types of cases) as well as practicing as a solo practitioner handling a variety of cases for over 15 years. He has tried hundreds of jury trials to conclusion as lead counsel, prosecutor, city attorney or judge, with an emphasis on Family Law, Personal Injury, Contract and Municipal Law.
Since 2002, he has served as an Assigned Judge in the First Administrative Judicial District. His initial training was through the American Arbitration Association as a mediator in 1992 and as an arbitrator in 1993 with numerous advanced mediation training seminars since and which he continues to update.
Judge Davis continues to update his skills by attending numerous trainings and seminars, holds memberships in the College of the State Bar since 2000, Attorney-Mediators Association and is credentialed Advanced by The Texas Association of Mediators. Judge Davis is available for a variety of services: Arbitration, Mediation, Special Judge and Master. He will travel to your location.
