Testimonials

I have had the pleasure of representing clients in hundreds of arbitrations with JWA. I believe JWA offers a fair, efficient and cost effective venue to resolve work place injury claims for non subscribers and their employees. The case managers are very pleasant, accessible and keep the arbitration on track. The panel of arbitrators is what I believe makes JWA a far superior option in choosing an arbitration service. All of the panel members are former Judges from all over the State and representing both political parties that have experience in nonsubscriber litigation. The other services are full of BIG FIRM elderly partners, plaintiff lawyers and lawyers that have no clue as the law involving nonsubscriber litigation. Although not perfect, JWA offers the best alternative in resolving my client’s cases. I recommend my clients to include them in their arbitration agreements.

As an attorney who represents injured workers in non-subscriber cases, I am many times required to litigate with different arbitration associations not of my choosing. There is one association whose organization stands out as being one that is the most efficient: the JWA. While we many times struggle to get hearings set and arbitrations initiated with other organizations, the JWA is always quick to respond to the parties and is easy to work and communicate with. Their staff members actually attended an arbitral hearing of mine to learn more about the process and meet the parties with whom they work on a regular basis, showing their commitment to delivering excellent service. I appreciate the work and dedication of the JWA in facilitating their arbitrations, and truly believe their staff cares about the parties with whom they work and serve.

Although my career has been in the courtroom, I am a big believer in mediation and arbitration.  The staff and ownership of JWA are wonderful. They understand the needs of the litigants, the Attorneys and the arbiters. I challenge anyone to find a more professional arbitration organization.

Judge Frank Andrews founded Judicial Workplace Arbitrations in 2003. I have had the privilege of being on JWA’s panel of judges since its inception, having been offered the opportunity by Judge Andrews to become a panelist. I find the case managers to be knowledgeable, competent and courteous. The administration and managers are detailed oriented and communicate well. In my opinion, the fees charged by the individual arbitrators and the administration fees charged by JWA are extremely competitive. The bottom line: I believe that Judicial Workplace Arbitrations provides dependable, proficient and affordable quality service.

I have been an active civil litigator for nearly 35 years and most of those years were limited to jury trials throughout the state of Texas as well as other states. In recent years more and more cases (commercial and personal injury) are subject to Arbitration Agreements. Those agreements designate the Arbitration association that will administer the case. As a result I have utilized virtually all Administration services and have come to believe that JWA is among if not the most efficient, cost effective and qualified in terms of its panel consisting of all retired or former judges.

There can be no question that alternate dispute resolution is here to stay. Mediation has been used effectively now for decades to help settle cases thereby saving valuable court time. Similarly, arbitration has been equally effective in a variety of specialty areas. What sets JWA apart is its use of retired and former judges, who bring to bear many years of actual judicial experience. Additionally, JWA has a vision for the future of using these same resources to serve as private judges for cases requiring the utmost discretion. I have felt privileged to be associated with such a forward looking organization as JWA.

I frequently litigate work injury cases against non-subscribers. Many of those cases require arbitration. JWA has an excellent panel of experienced arbitrators. Moreover, the staff at JWA are professional and responsive.

My practice involves many arbitration proceedings with many arbitration associations. My experience with JWA for many years has always been one of the most positive. JWA is very easy to work with administratively and JWA does not put concerns over arbitration fees above the content and status of the case. If you need some time to try to resolve the matter before incurring significant fees, you simply have to ask. That is unusual for arbitration associations in my experience. The JWA panels consist of former Judges from throughout Texas and from different political persuasions. This makes many of them more qualified than some other panels and allows the parties to do some research as to their experiences and qualifications before the final arbitrator is selected. Often times, my opposing counsel and I are able to simply pick one of the Judges and agree to the assignment without even going through the strike process. Whether arbitration is better or worse than a jury trial is a debate that can go on forever, but when in arbitration JWA is a very good organization to work with in my opinion.
